Oi, well I cannot believe I'm actually saying this but I really am looking forward to a less hectic week this time around. This really has been a fun week though...
Monday and Tuesday I had the ITBS, which is the Iowa Test of Basic Skills...it's actually funner than it sounds, for the most part. I got to take it with my friends Taylor & Elsbeth, so that was cool. Taylor and I have taken it together every year since we were 4th graders, so we've kinda developed our own tradition of every year she brings fashion designs that she draws and then I draw them onto my cartoon characters. It's a cool thing we've got going =) Oh, Tuesday was also my bro's 13th bday.
Also on Tuesday the homeschool sports group got together as we always do, only now we're starting up on Volley Ball... isn't as fun as it was back at Camp Hope though :-/ Mainly 'cause we're using all the official rules, which include not being able to use both hands on a serve. So basically that means that I stink at serving and had horrible bruises on my hands that hurt for a couple days afterwords and I didn't even get the ball over the net half the time. Blarg.
Wednesday of course was my library volunteering & youth group...awesomeness. Before going to the library I stopped by the second hand store and picked up a couple things. One was a combat jacket for the airsoft war I went to and the other was this absolutely adorable white fuzzy sweater/coat type thing....and also a pair of pants. All this for only 6 bucks! Wooo =D Then that evening youth group, which is always mega fun. All the girls had a thing for complimenting my jewlery that night...lol. And of course I had a blast hanging with Ian & David, as always.
Nothing much happened Thursday, though my bro had to finish his ITBS. Friday I was so excited because I got to visit with some friends who live a couple hours away who I hardly ever get to see. It was so great to see Mikayla & Patrick again! Then that evening I and several other friends all went over to David's place to celebrate his 15th birthday by having Nintendo Wii tournaments... I was rather pleased with myself for beating the guys in bowling. *grins*
Saturday.... now saturday was pretty much amazing. It was my brother's birthday party, in which he invited a buncha the guys to this nearby farm where we had an Airsoft war. I got to join in the game for the first time... I'd heard a lot about it and it actually sounded like fun, and Nathaniel said that if I could somehow get a gun, I could join in. So I mentioned the possibility to Ian, who readily let me borrow his machine gun. I managed to do ok, for it being my first time... I don 't think I actually got anybody out, but I was never the first one out, and in several rounds flat out didn't get out, which was cool. In the end, I got hit in the face a couple times by a sniper riffle, once in the forehead by a mega good machine gun (I still have a mark from that one... after being hit I realized I'd forgotten to put on my safety glasses....oi. Lucky break there I guess! lol), and then hit in the leg several times. Sounds like I might get to join some of their other wars in the future too, which I'm rather excited about :-)
Then there's today-- Church, for sure. That was good and there were a couple of men visiting. One from California and the other from the Seattle area. They were both really nice. The California one is an ex-school teacher and grilled me a bit about homeschooling...but I kind of liked it. I always enjoy a good debate like that every now and then. And of course I proved him wrong in that ever-preasent arguement about homeschoolers being unsocialized and unable to talk to people well. Hehehe. After church we went home for a few minutes and headed back off for the potluck, along with David. Ever since last summer it has become somewhat of a tradition now that I bring him to all the church events. It's always a load of fun having a friend along on those things... and of course like the last potluck that was at the Croll's place, we went adventuring into the canyon near the house. I should post up the photos some time.
Anyhow...that's my week! Well with the exception of one part I guess... in between all of that I made six dozen cupcakes. Ye-eah.... 2 doz. for my bro's party and then 4 doz. for the potluck. Whew! I think I've had plenty of cupcakes for now...
So yeah, congrats on getting to the end of this rather large post :-) lol

whoo hoo! yeha! lol.
airsofting is so much fun! I'm so glad i'm not the only one on blogger who thinks so now.
and wow, you DO have a busy week. how do you get through it all?!!?!?!?? lol.
Ahhhh, the ex-teacher grilling the homeschooler! Always fun!! ;-) And you sound as busy as I am! Lol!!!
busy is right!
Yeah, I haven't had the opportunity to try airsoft. All the guys at church talk endlessly about it. I'll try it eventually though.
Haha yes Bo now you don't have to be alone...and I can definitely agree with you that it is amazingly awesome =)
It really was an insane week...whew. Busy as you Crystal? whoa that is really ranking up there!! lol
Same here Beth...almost all the guys in the homeschool group are constantly talking about it. The talk of the sport it's self can be somewhat fun at times but when they get going off about their guns (which is most of the time) I just give up and leave. I could care less about the guns-- It's shooting them that I like! You should try it though :-)
Airsoft is a lot easier on the body than paintball. . .
Yeah, airsofting is a blast!!!! Especially when you play with those guys :-).
Yeah that's what I've heard too, Lucy.
Yessssssss! It definitely is Crystal =D They're so fun. 'Specially when I've got Ian & David on my team. We have such awesome guys in the homeschool group though...the airsofters all plotted together and pooled their money and got my bro a nice machine gun for his bday.
hey! we should bring a few guns to camp hope and have a shoot off. then we could all shoot at targets or play real wars in the woods. that would be amazing. lol and we could hit pastor harris when he comes out of his cabin!
lol! I duno about hitting Pastor Harris, but the rest sounds AWEEEEESOOOMMEEE =D I guess they never said that airsoft guns were illegal to bring....
