I haven't posted in forever. Again. haha.
But man, tonight = probably one of my teenage year's most interesting adventures.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time right now to write up a big descriptive post about it (and believe me, it would be perfect and I totally would do it if I could right now)
But lets just say that I'd never would have imagined tonight would involve walking through the dark creepy industrial section of Lewiston. With no adults. And my 14 year old brother on one side of me and my best friend, Zach (17) on the other. And no cell phones. haha yesssss.
I love my life. :)

Some Things Never Change (unlike identities)
First off, the below post still holds true to today.
On a lighter, 2nd note:
Yesterday Zach and I pulled absolutely the BEST prank I've ever had the pleasure of being involved in. We traded identities on Facebook for a day. It was SO fun. lol and a wee bit challenging too, I'll admit. But it was most amusing IMing mutual friends of ours trying to impersonate each other. It takes a lot of thought to impersonate a friend of the opposite gender. I mean seriously, not only do you have to try and determine what they'd talk about or how they'd respond to stuff, but also how you type back the responses (like do they always use proper punctuation on chat? do they not capitalize their I's? How many M's do they put for a "hmm"? Do they use a lot of chat smilies?). It's also interesting seeing how people respond to guys vs. girls on chat. Like our friend Caleb... he usually wouldn't tease Zach about baking him a pie or start a conversation with me off with "Behind you!! a ZOMBIE!!!" ... *laughs* but today he did. Unknowingly.
Final verdict: I am apparently better at being Zach than he is at being me. (but near the end of our prank he got better at talking like me). I even managed to fool his mom into thinking I was him! LOL!
So yes...there you have it, another day in the life!

What happened to the easy days?
Well, I had originally wrote this big post about my oh so complicated life of lately and how I'm kinda stressy cause the guy whom I've unintentionally gained a relationship with I'm going to have to break up with and am afraid our friendship may be quite damaged. But I just erased the whole thing.
Not because it's no longer an issue.

It's because I have an amazing best friend who helps pick me up when I'm down, gives me great advice (and calls me by my fave nickname while doing so), quotes helpful Bible verses (namely Joshua 13:1 & Romans 8:28), and reminds me to keep looking to God no matter what.
While my problems are quite far from over, I have to admit I'm feeling better now than I have been and am working on keeping my sights where they should be instead of on me. All things work together for good; I just have to keep pressing on and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, because I know good and well that one of these days it'll be shown to me.
I'm just so thankful God has let people come into my life that show me these things.
(and thank you so much Zach for putting up with me :-) Even though you're never on blogger to see this. lol and if you are it's probably cause I told you to go look. *wink*)

Wow...for serious?
Man. FIRST DAY OF SEPTEMBER?!?!?! :-o
Summer went by way too fast. I'm not sure if that's good or bad....
Pros and cons...
*No more water park - CON
*Moderate temperatures for taking walks outside - PRO
*Crunchy leaves to walk all over- PRO
*It's closer to when Zach has go to back to Texas - CON. CON. CON!!!
*School - CON
*Teen Bible study starts again- PRRRROOOO!!!
*Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are all the sooner - PRO
*The Fair is coming, which = extra spending money - PRO
*And it gets me all the closer to graduating......That I am unsure of the pro/con status of. I guess I'll find that out when I get there. But it thus far looks like I will be the only girl in my graduating class, which I think will be awesome because I can choose a completely different color of robe than everybody and get away with it =D haha!
So how are you?

Part 1 of the 2nd best summer :)
Camp Hope 2010?
Absolutely awesome.
The forest, Clover Field, old friends, new friends, silly songs, and skits... Super-Mario Dodge Ball, the "Mud Puddle"/pool, playing Spoons, and snack time... Deep conversations with girl friends, good laughs with guy friends, and inside jokes with my brother-- "BOOLAH! It saves chickens!" & "You just got hammed!" hahaha. Yes, definitely good times.
This year I knew would be different...But in a good kinda way. From the start I made up my mind it would, if nothing else, definitely top camp of '09. To be honest though, it kind of HAD to- I mean, last year I had heat exhaustion, some sort of flu-like thing going on, and a blister on my foot that was about an inch long (thanks to some foot doctor who lied to me :-P ). I figure it can't get too much worse than that, so things were likely to be quite a bit better. Plus, this year I was bringing my brother! In the past I would not have seen myself saying that with such enthusiasm, but as he's gotten farther into his teen years we've gotten to be practically inseparable, so I was happy to have him along for the trip.
So, it all started out Tuesday morning with getting up at 5:45 to get ready, eat breakfast, and wait for Dexter. Yes- this year Dexter Jones was our ride to Ruben's place in Pullman. That entire experience was most interesting, and possibly one of the most memorable experiences of my teen years. When he first showed up, my first thought was "Hi Dexter!" quickly followed by "We are seriously all riding with ALL our luggage in THAT??" when I saw his tiny little car. The trunk appeared half full already with his and Laurel's luggage. We were seriously going to fit Nathaniel and I's suitcases, pillows, sleeping bags, backpacks, lunches, AND my guitar in that thing? I was 95% sure at that point the guitar was staying home. Shockingly though, Dexter made everything (even my guitar!) fit. It was amazing- both the packing job and the fact that his trunk didn't explode or something.
As if all that wouldn't have been memorable on it's own, we then headed out on the hour-long drive to Pullman. Now THAT was an adventure! For both us and the guy behind us too, probably. Partway there, Dexter demonstrated for us the advantages of having two easily accessible horn buttons (you don't have to take a break in between each honk!). Then after that he did Brian Regan's comedy about having a short in the horn... with real-life sound effects. *HONK!* "GO! Go my favorite spots team!!" *HONK! HONK!* "They scored another goal-unit!" *HONNNNNKKK!!* "Beat the opponent soundly!"
Once we got to Ruben’s place, we transferred our luggage into his (thankfully, much larger) van and headed out yet again; this time for 6 hours to Camp Hope! One of the first things done on that trip was describing to Ruben our recent drive. Being a police officer, Ruben then informed Dexter that it is illegal to honk his car horn just for fun and amusement. Fail.
Later as we were nearing Spokane, we ended up behind a familiar-looking blue van that Nathaniel and I decided looked incredibly similar to the one belonging to our friend David’s family. We followed it for about half an hour, and I spent the entire time staring at it, becoming more and more positive that it really could be the Sewards. Finally, Ruben passed it up, and guess what? It actually WAS the Sewards! In fact, David was the one driving. We managed to get his attention, and afterwards Laurel and I spent quite a while laughing over the incredibly shocked expression on his face when he saw that it was us. Who’d have thought you’d run into friends in the middle of nowhere?! It was hilarious.

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars? I could really use a wish right now.

Can you believe it's less than two weeks now until Camp Hope!?!? I'm finally feeling excited for it... yeah, yeah, took me long enough :-P I can hardly wait to go back- out in a foresty area with a whole ton of great people, great sermons, sports, and in general fun! And away from all my home town stress. That'll be nice. I've been cramming trying to get bazillions of things done before then, which is kinda hard in between having Zach over, library volunteering, and a 5-day trip to Spokane with Laurel and her family starting this Friday. Whew. Plus anything else that comes up, like trying to get together with my friend Karen before she goes away to Whitworth. But except for the stress, it's all good.
My big goal lately? Get everything done and NOT be sick or injured at camp for once. That would be nice. Cause last year I had that ginormous blister on my foot and then I got all sick cause I didn't eat and sleep enough.... bleh. And the year before that I had a cold (which actually wasn't TOO bad...a nuisance to some extent, but I loved that I was loosing my voice on skit night cause when I shouted "NOOOOOOO!!!!" it sounded absolutely hilarious :) ). So yes... I hope I can actually have a week here at camp where I am in good health.
I also have some big exciting news...but I'm not telling you guys ;) Yet anyways. I'm going to wait until I know a little more to be sure this big news is really going to come about fully. But as of right now it looks likely.

So I guess I'm no non-conformist
Well, I might as well cause it seems to be spreading through all the camp hopies on blogger, lol....
My favorite things of lately in no particular order:
* Playing/singing Owl City's "Fireflies" with my guitar
* Fashion blogs (I blame you, Anna)
* The water park
* Being able to see all my fave TV shows on Netflix instant watch on my Wii- who needs cable!?
* S'mores
* DeJaVu - Sitting atop my youth leader's swing set with David, just like 2 years ago... Being surprised at church by the Hodgins (my old pastor & his family) whom I've not seen in 5 years... Camping with my family. Yeah, DeJaVu has been fun :)
* Telling my brother all about camp and getting him excited for next month :)
* My alter ego, Misty Bolavard.
* My friends... when are they not favorites?
And.....
