The cons about this day: I've got a head ache and a sore throught (I think because of all the smoke that's in the valley at the moment).
The pro's: Where do I start? It's been a totally awesomely fun day despite my head-cold-like symptoms!
It was the first PCHE meeting of the year...PCHE stands for Port Cities Home Educators. It's the home school group that my family's in.
The first meeting of the year is always the best because they do it in the park so that the moms can bring their kids and let them play with their friends while they have their meeting. Most of the other ones are in the evenings and only the moms come.
My mom, brother, and I were the first ones to get there. The reason why we were early is one of the things I'm so happy about today.... We got the home school yearbooks back from the printer's!! We weren't expecting them to finish until Thursday, so it was such a great suprise to get the phone call this morning saying that our print order had been finished. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, since the meeting was this afternoon.
Well, anyway, people started showing up and before I knew it I had so many friends in the park that I barely had time to hang out with them all. Some were friends I hadn't seen since the begining of the summer, others were friends I'd just seen a few days ago, but no matter how long it had been since I'd seen them, I was happy they were there!
So I talked to several of my girlfriends for a while and then my friend Allen (he's the one I'd mentioned in my last post) came up and invited me and whoever else to join in a game of Ultimate Frisbee. Of course, now that I've actually gotten good at the game I seized the opertunity...Even though it made me the only girl in a crowd of guys. Then my friend Taylor walked by and I convinced her to join me in the game. For the first half of it Taylor and I were on a team with Allen's little bro, Jesse. Then halfway through Allen's team was loosing so badly that they had me switch sides to hopfully help balance out the score a bit. They lost with a score of 2 to 5 anyway, but at least my switching over helped them gain 2 points. Otherwise, that would have been REALLY pathetic.
So yeah, fun, fun. And I'll be playing the same game all over again tomarrow afternoon at Teen Teams! Good thing it's one of my fave things to do.

haha that sounds like tons of fun! though I'm not good at ultimate frisbe... every one els is much faster than I. :) that's why I'm good at volleyball, there's not much running, just a lot of hitting and jumping. :)
Ah yes, it was! I love volley ball too...well, when it's like we did at camp with the blow up soccer balls. the real volley balls always seem to hit me wrong and I end up with a sore wrist :(
