Confessions of a Sickie

Okay, so about what I'd said...I guess I actually do have a cold. ugh.
But for once in my life I admitted it. I'm the sort of person who never admits to being sick for fear of missing out on something fun. So many times when I have admitted, I have missed out on something fun. Surprisingly though, it's different this time. Basically, my mom just said this time "You can go to your activities or whatever if you feel up to it, but don't blame me if your cold gets worse." So that's what I did- I took a bunch of vitamins and such and went on ahead with my life.
I worked at the library with Carolyn and Jeanette yesterday and then headed over to the park for the Teen Team's Ultimate Frisbee day. It's amazing what you can do after you've taken Tylenol ;-)
Nobody ever threw the frisbee to me though...the tall guys always get it and then throw it to other tall guys...Or to Jesse (he's only about as tall as me and 11 years old, but he's a great catcher!). Then near the end of our two-hour game the teams were tied and the frisbee was heading straight through the air and landed in my arms. I couldn't believe it-I'd made the game winning catch! And once again, Jesse's team had beat Allen's. lol. Perhaps there's just something lucky about being on Jesse's team!

Now today I've got yet another activity to go to...The first youth group meeting of the school year! Yay! Okay, yeah, I'm in a church with no kids. How can there be a youth group? Simple: I go to my friend's church's youth group. It's really great. I made a video of the stuff we'd done this past year and I will be playing that for everybody at the meeting tonight. Perhaps I shall post it on here some time. It's similar to the Camp Hope video, but with more video than pictures and different music.

Ah, yes, and also today Luke & Jacob (a couple guys from my youth group) came over to look at the swing set in my back yard...They're going to take it down, bring it over to Luke's place, and set it up there for his 2 year old sister to use. Then on their way back out to the front yard, they spotted my dad's cars and thought they were totally great. What is it with guys and cars? No matter their age, they seem to have an attraction to them. Haha, I guess they're born with it.
