One of the Grand Old Writings

I was looking through some documents on my computer and came upon this poem that I wrote almost a year ago. So I decided to share it ;)

A Walk on the Narrow Side

Sarah Iddings October 2006

I'm walking down the line, on the long and narrow road
It's tiresome and long
But I'll end up where I belong
This race seems never ending
And my pace is slowing down
I'm getting caught in sinful obstacles and I fear that I will drown
Some times I stop and wonder why I entered in this race
This road is just so difficult and I can never keep up this chase
Just when I'm about to quit I look a head and see the light
The pearly gates of splendor are now shining in my sight
I know I've still got a ways to go but now the prize is in my eyes
And although this road's quite toilsome it won't be my demise
For I know I'm in my Father's will and he's holy, great, and wise

That's so funny, I was totally expecting "pace" instead of "chase!" It kind of took me off guard, but I really like the poem!
