A snow storm? In september? Naw...it can't be! Oh, how it appears that way though. The wind is blowing, white stuff is falling...and did I mention that it's bright, sunny, and 80 degrees outside?
But wait, 80 degress....It can't snow when it's 80...perhaps I misread the thermometer and it's really 80-? No, no, that can't be right either. And WHAT is that horrible racket going on outside? Ah, yes, the answer to all these questions lurks right outside my front door: The insulation guys are here.
They've been working on blowing insulation into the walls ever since about 9:30 this morning. It's terribly loud what with the drills and the banging and the power-blowing and all....And my dog barking off and on at the people who are invading her territory.
My pathetic attempt to block out the noise hasn't been working at all. My clock radio just can't stand up to the racket these guys are making.
*sigh* I'm just gonna have to put up with it. After all, this stuff is suposedly going to keep my room from turning into the boiler pot in the summer time and the ice box in the winter, so we'll see how it all works out.

wow! cool!
save some snow for me!
Lol. It's all packed tightly into our walls, now! It's keeping my house nice 'n warm on this rainy day we're having :-)
it's raining over there? it's raining over here too.
and I swear that's a Winnie-the-Pooh quote. I just can't recall when pooh says it.
oh. he's looking in the mirror. is it raining in there? it's raining out here too. and the rain rain rain came down down down in riveling riveling rivlets......he was unaware, atop his chair while bailing he was sailing....
a nice dose of Winnie the pooh for you, sarah!
Lol, cute quote there, Anna! I should save that one... :-)
The weather's better here now, but I was just at my grandparent's place over in Waitsberg and it was raining there. I'm hoping that the weather will be good on Wednesday...I'm going to do some archery with a bunch of home school friends. It will be fun!
oh cool, archery. I love archery. except I can't do the whip-thut, whip-thut, whip-thut thing legolas can so I'm sad. (you know, legolas is pulling arrows out of his quiver fitting them directing to the string and then releasing in about three seconds flat)
it was raining hard over here yesterday, which meant we had a miserable day at crosscountry. and I slipped in a really muddy spot and did a face plant.
actually, that was fun. :P I've always wished I could go back to making mud pies. you know, I think puddles are about the most fun in the world. we were running and I was like PUDDLE! *splash* and all the other girls were like ah! keep running!
just not no fun if there isn't someone else jumping too.
Yeah, we did it yesterday and it was a ton of fun! Especially since my friends Dwight and Alyssa came. They don't normally go to Teen Teams, so it was fun to do something with them other than shelving books at the library (them and I volunteer there together).
That would be so cool to be able to do that sort of thing in archery. There's not a chance you'd ever see me do it though...I can barely hit the target! I don't really care though-I just have fun shooting arrows!
It was raining again today...then it got really sunny. That's the weird thing about weather here. Like it can be raining in the back yard and sunny in the front. The weather changes so fast here! I woke up and we had big dark clouds and rain and then by lunchtime it was bright and sunny (but still kinda cold).
Ouch. Faceplant. I almost did that on the stairs in my house the other day! I'm an incredibly klutzy induvidual.
I'm with you on mud pies. Until you mentioned them, I'd completely forgot how much fun I used to have back when I was like 8 years old doing that! Ah, and then I also remember my little brother and I would make "compost soup" in a bucket full of rain water with grass and bugs and dirt and whatever else we could find in the garden...Such fun!!
I see your point about it being no fun if someone else isn't jumping too. I think that Laurel would probibly love to join you in that :-) I prob would too.......but it depends on what I'm wearing that day......
Holy Cow! That was my biggest post ever!!! lol.
Wow...you need to get out more. some of my comments...well we won't go into that now, lol.
Count me in.
OH! we used to play that all the time! like I would be a chef and make a whole meal out of different things that all looked kinda gross but we still pretended to eat them and I'd make hero transportable meals so that we could go on adventures and still have food. and then later on I was the doctor and made medicines out of leaves and mold and bark and delicious things like that and I'm sure it was wonderful. and we'd pick rhododendron blossoms and crush them and it made a wonderful dye that was bright red.
anyway. we had the weirdest storm coming in last night it made everything look like it was glowing because there was no logical place for the light to be coming from and the clouds were all black and covered the sky but off in the distance there was this blue line that was not normal sky blue color it was more like sea blue and it looked reallly weird. kinda freaky.
everybody needs a puddle occasionally.
[anna]
Haha, sounds fun.
I wish that I could have seen that storm. It sounds like something that I would like! Was there any lightning? I looooooove lightning storms!!
and, [verya]
I actually get out quite a bit...it drives my mom crazy 'cause she's always having to drive me somewhere. I should find her a bumper sticker that says "mom's taxi service"...lol
it's when he was looking in the mirror in his house during the rainstorm.
Lol. What a cute scene :-)
