--February 27, 9:10 am---
Well we're off on our spring break trip to Seattle. Just hit the road actually. so here comes the blow-by-blow of my biggest and most likely best vacation ever!
Amazingly I was the first person out of of bed this morning. That doesnt happen all too often. I learned that the sun doesnt start coming up this time of year 'till almost 7am. What time was I up? 6. But it gave me time to shower, add a couple things to my pocket pc, and check my e-mail (nothing new... No surprise though. I didn't figure anyone would write me between 9pm and 7am. Lol.)
Since I got every thing done early I had lots of spare time to screw around. So I played on our Wii a little while we waited for dad get back from taking the dog to get boarded. Once he got back, we loaded our last few items in the car, mom asked us who knows how many times if we had to use the bathroom... yeah. Hana. And where does that leave me now? On a country road in the middle of nowhere among the brown hills of Eastern Washington. Who ever nicknamed us the evergreen state must have lived on the other side.
---11:00 am---
well we're back in the car again after a short pitstop in waitsberg at gma and gpa's. Mom's got teeny-weeny bladder syndrome and went about 3 times in an hour and a half. Whoa. So now as things are I've taken 'bout 6 photos, 2 Videos and we've made 4 side stops (all rather short). I'm now gonna grab a snack and rock out to more Kevin Rudolf songs *grins*
Later!
---2:46 pm---
After Several hours of brown hills and tumble weeds, we've at last
crossed over to the green part of the ever green state. Right now we're crossing the cascades... It's snowy here...Pretty! And after our nice sunny drive it's all cloudy. hmm... Welcome to western Washington, I guess:
--4:00 pm---
I'm loving these cascades! We stopped for a bathroom break at a ski place... Some mighty large snow drifts there. It's sooo pretty up here with all the green and snow! I think we should be getting close to Seattle now.. within an hour or so maybe? man road trips are awesome. so is the hand writing recognization feature on my pocket PC (Which I've been using this whole trip to make my blog updates) sure beats hunt 'n peck typing with the on- screen key board.
---6:45 pm---
we are now in seattle!!! This place is pretty much amazing. The buildings are all tall and shiny and tunnels seem to be a normal occurence. This is just... Wow. I can Sure tell I'm not in Clarkston any more! Yes, I am aware that I sound like a total hick XD
As Bo informed me on chat last night, I need to get out more- LOL!
Within our first 15 minutes here we coulda died (or been badly injured). As we were trying to find our hotel some dude ran a red lignt and very nearly hit us. I if dad handn't put the petal to the metal just in time, we'd have been hit - and right Where I was sitting! Wow. God was sure looking out for me on that one!
---9:40 pm---
Well we're just about to turn in for the night. Mom is on the other end of the room pumping the air mattress. Since my bro and I are both teens she decided it's rather inappropriate to have us share a bed, so we gotta take turns sleeping on the floor. Any way, not much action this evening. We found out that the hotel has computers and internet in the lobby, so that's cool. I can email and facebook you guys while I'm here!

Oh yes, the looooong drives.
HAHAHAHA!!!! oh dear Sarah...yes you do need to get out more. it's ok - I know in Europe I'm going to be a total tourist pretty much everywhere I go. it's alright though.
man you should have come this weekend though. the weather is gorgeous! people are starting to sunbathe on the beach....complete with sweatshirts and the sock/sandal combination. but hey, it getting up near 60 degrees. welcome to Seattle.
Yeah really? lol of course the weather would be nice when I'm gone.... XD aw well the one sunny day we had while we were there was nice for the Space Needle so it's all good still. On the beach with sweatshirts and sock/sandal combos...hahaha that is funny. When people hit the beach here it's not usually until late may/early june and we've all got our swimsuits and air mats. Seattle is like another world...
wow . . . you've got everything timed! haha, something tells me you've got a lot to say about this vacation!
lol.
It's weird to hear this all from an "outsiders" perspective. And to hear about you guys driving down to Seattle, a relatively familiar area to me, but a completely new one for you.
I agree Beth, it's so weird to hear something about a place I've grown up, from someone who doesn't know it at all.
but, that's life.
are you going to put pics up here Sarah? and the next part?
*grins* Well, you couldn't be more right about that, Bo! lol and yeah I timed everything... not sure why...maybe it makes me feel like my post is more organized or something XD
Hm, I hadn't really thought about that Beth, but I suppose it would be kinda interesting to hear about your area from an outsider's perspective. And if any of you come to Clarkston, you all should write about it so I can get a different veiw =D
One of the times we have been to california, a guy ran a red light and nearly ran us over also.
California driver....bah.
Yikes. Nutty drivers... they should try harder to follow the law.
:)
LOL. california drivers are amazing. everytime i go down there, i never cease to be amazed.
NEXT POST!!!!! w00t!
It's crazy!
Yes, I'll get the next post up this evening, hopefully.
ok won't be up tonight...sorries. I was about to post it and then saw that I hadn't finished transcribing my handwriting into type...soooooo it'll be a day or so before the next post comes cause I gotta fix that.
you should see Indian drivers. :D
talk about a terrifying experience.
