Man they do quite the breakfasts here! I mean, I knew there was gonna be a breakfast buffet, but I figured it'd just be a few bagels and some cold cereal like at Super 8. Sure, there's that too here, but there's also sausage, eggs, waffles, some other random pastries, yogurt... fruits... some other stuff too,I think, but I forget what... Haha oh well.
---12:30 am---
Well originally we were gonna go to Pike's Place market this
morning, but it was pouring. So we went to the Aquarium now instead of doing it in the afternoon. We just left and the entrance line is GINORMOUS! yikes. And I thought it was crowded When we were in! This is the first time since I was 6. I coulda done with like 95% of the small children subtracted from the scene, but otherwise it was cool. I got an adorable photo of some sleeping otters. They were soooo cute! Just wanna hug 'em! Well, if it wasn't that they're cold and wet...LOL.
---8:30 pm---
Whew, I'm tired! After tie Aquarium we went to Pike's Place since it was close and not raining too hard. That and hey, might as well make the most of the 16 bucks we had to pay for parking. I cant believe these big cities can charge so much for parking! Gosh. What a rip off! That's something nice about Clarkston. Parking is free. Every Where. Yeah. Anywho, Pike's Place is amazing! My fave place here, so far (ok, its only the 2nd place I've been. Maybe a bit soon to make that judgment, I guess). It's HUGE! There are so many people and so much to see. so many cultures and colors. I love the street musicians. And there is so much cool stuff to photograph! I wish we had time to go back. While we were there we ate at Pike's Diner. The food was terrific! I had a plate of BIG popcorn shrimp and fries. Yummy! Also got to talk to an artist there who sold us on some professional colored pencils for me. Really nice guy. He gave me his card and told me to email him the link to my art website. After pike's Place we were gonna go to a robotics contest but when we got to Key Arena it had finished =(
Just as well though, cause it turns out they don't allow cameras in there. Of course being the photomaniac I am, I was carrying 2- my picture cam as well as my video cam. Sure wouldn't do good to have those confiscated! So since we had some free time and it was on the way back to the hotel, we walked over to check out the gift shop at the Space Needle. Man that thing is big! It's so cool. I cant believe we're going up tomorrow! Sweet. While we were there we ran into some very unexpected people- my cousin David and his wife Holly! Wow. So that was fun. We stopped and talked to them for a bit, then we decided after walking like all day that we would head back to the hotel. So with my Starbucks caramel machiotto in hand, I paid for my Space Needle keyring and we left. (hey, can't go to the city of coffee without stopping by starbucks! *grin*)
Anyway, after Writing this off 'n on while watching kid's choice awards on Nickelodeon, it is now 10:10 and we're going to bed.
Write more tomorrow!

Oh yes...you made it during spring break week for ALL of Seattle. it's not normally that kid-populated. :) don't you feel lucky now?
I don't think I've even been to Pike's Place or the Seattle Center without hearing a street musician. personally, it would ruin the experience if they weren't there. it's one of my favorite parts of Seattle!
(yikes - you got ripped off on parking)
hahaha, there ARE cheap parking places, you just need to figure 'em out. i don't know if there are free lots, the others would know, but i've found a few really cheap ones tucked away.
nice post!
Yikes, well that stinks =P If there's ever a next time we'll have to try and do it sometime after their break...the aquarium is cool but the crowdedness was horrible.
Yeah! Me too- they're so fun to hear. My pastor used to do that when he lived in that area.
Really? Man, I should have talked to you then and found out where the cheap ones were! lol. Idk, we probably woulda ended up walking a long way if we'd managed to find any decently priced parkings :-P
"Walking is very beneficial exercise."
lol, ok, well yes that IS true... actually as it was we did a lot of it :-)
