Ramblings of a BOOMMS Infected Induvidual

This day just keeps dragging on...Antagonizing me.
Nothing particularly bad has happened it's just... I duno. These little things that seem to bother me.
Like the fact that I have this wonderful tune in my head that I can't seem to get out on my guitar. And the fact that most of the afternoon nobody's been on gmail.
I feel like I could fall asleep, but I don't particularly want to. In fact, it seems I don't want to do anything.
Don't you just hate it when you get so incredibly bored that nothing seems to sound like fun anymore? It's one of the most annoying things to ever happen, in my opinion. B.O.O.M.M.S. is what I call it. What do those initials stand for?

Bored
Out
Of
My
Mind
Syndrome

Which is what I'm currently suffering from... *yawn* well, I shall stop boring you now. lol. I guess that the end of my boredom has come because my mom just told me she's having me cook dinner. Nice.

...As the lights dim

As the lights dim in the autotorium, I know it's nearly my turn to take the stage. Excited, yet slightly nervous to be singing for a large crowd again, I slowly walk up the stairs to the stage as Carolyn, our MC of the event tells my name, age, and a few facts about me to the audience.
After much encourragement from friends, and prayer for my nerves to calm, this's finally the moment. I don't kno why I keep singing in Presentation Night (wich is our homeschool group's talent show), but I do. I guess it's because of that wonderful feeling I get when it's all over.... or maybe I just like hearing myself in a microphone. Haha, I duno.
Once my song is over, I leave the stage and go sit with a group of my friends out in the audience and scan over the program brochure to see when I'm back on stage again. Looks like I won't be back on until after intermission, so I settle down and enjoy the rest of the show with my buddies (some of which also performed).
About 45 minutes later, it's intermission, so I go and change into my outfit for the skit that I would soon be performing with my friends Nathanael & Luke. I've never been so excited to take the stage! We'd practiced that skit sevreal times now and I could hardly wait to get up there and make the audience laugh :-) Not only that, but I couldn't wait to see Luke in his costume.... hehehe, it's soooo hilarious to see some one who usually looks to be the "cool guy" dressed as a majorly exagerated version of a nerd. LOL!
Thankfully, I didn't laugh through the whole skit and nor did my fellow actors...the audience on the other hand.... haha, well, they were meant to laugh anyway! The skit went awesomely :-) I hope to have a video of that up here some time soon. It was so much fun!
Also tonight I got to be the film crew for the Iron Chickens of America band. That was cool. They are going to use the footage I got of them to make a music video. After the show they were totally thrilled that I let them have their own page in my autograph book. I've been having all my friends sign it... hopfully I will remember to bring it to camp and get all of you to sign it too!

Well, until I get the video footage up onto youtube, that is all for Presentation Night, I guess.
I'm really kind of sad that it's over, actually. Skit rehersals with Luke & Nathanael were so fun... I'm really gonna miss that I think!

Welcome to Life's Mission

So I decided to make a new blogpost...what on? Well, it sure wasn't gonna be on how to build a nuclear missle, I can tell ya that. What do I know a lot about? What have I spent more time than anything observing? bing! That shot off a lightbulb above my head. My family! Duh. Who else have I been around and spent nearly every day of the past 15 years with? And really, they'd make a pretty darn interesting subject, in my opinion at least.

I duno, maybe every teenager secretly feels like their family seems to have fallen strait out of a TV sitcom. Or maybe it's just me. Like I said, I duno.
I have a mom who's obsessed with NASCAR, a dad who's favorite TV station is the Disney Channel, a brother who's antics can be completely rediculous, my pug Daisy who's probably one of the strangest dogs you'll ever meet..... And then you've got me. Now that part's not so weird. I mean c'mon, I'm only one of the most perfectly normal induviduals you'll ever come accross in life (whispers: and anyone who believes that fact can stand on their head).

I've got to admit it though, despite how strange I can be at times, I do have high goals in life. Infact, some of the highest, really. When I was two years old my mom asked me what I wanted to be and I said "God!" 'Tis a goal worth keeping, no? Hey, raise your hand if you want Sarah Iddings to reign supreme over your life!

Ok, so maybe that won't quite work out. Although I can't be God, I still study in His word. I had accepted Jesus at the age of 4, and even as a little kid I knew some biblical facts and verses. I knew that "God so loved the world that he gave his only forgotten son." and I had memorized Matt 11:28 - "Come unto me all you weary and heavy ladies and I will give you rest." I even could tell you who built the ark-- Grandma & Grandpa! How I became so brilliant as to know that fact, I'll never know.

Alright, this post about my family kinda turned to stuff about me. I guess that's the fallen selfish human nature for ya.
We always seem to be all "me, me, me". On a mission to live our lives for our enjoyment and not think about others.
That's where us Christians should step in, go against the crowd, and set an example. To live our lives for God and the good of others. To help our friends as well as our enemies and show the love of the Lord to our little portion of the world.
Weather it's not taking the biggest cookie or risking your life for some one, it doesn't matter, as long as we start somewhere and carry on doing it.

Welcome to life's mission. Now let's take it together, one step at a time.

The Blessing Candle comes to you!

Sarah didn't sign out of her blog, so I decided to post on it. I am her Mother. I am passing this Blessing Candle to you, Sarah, because you have been a huge blessing to me around the house since I can not do much of anything around here anymore that requires the use of my arms. I want you to know how much I appreciate your help. I know it's not all fun to have to do all these chores, but the alternative is a pigsty and you and Nathaniel are keeping us out of the pigsty! :-)
A little bit about the Blessing Candle:
It was given to me by a blogging friend from Beyond Surviving Home School. Now I get to pass it on to Sarah. Sarah, you get to pass it on to someone else, but keep a copy of it on your blog. Usually, when someone passes it on, they post a comment to the blogger they want to pass it on to that entices them to come to their website and then they are surprised to find a nice post about them, including their blog address and the candle. To get the candle on their blog they have to then make a link with it to their blog.
Sarah is the computer geek around here so she can explain it a lot better than I can.
I love you, Sarah! Blessing to you!

Ohhhh, look at all the lonely people... Where do they all come from?

You come accross some rather interesting people when you are at the library. Of course, they have books to suit people of every type however odd they are, so 'tis no wonder, really.
Some I see often...some only once. Some look like people I know, some are they whom I know, others I don't know, and some I don't think I'll ever want to know.
It's odd to see some one so often that you recognize them yet you don't know their name and never speak to them. It's also odd to see a lady who has green hair (I'm assuming she'd done it on purpose anyway.....though if it were on me, I'd consider it a serious hairstlye malefunction).
If there's one place where all the different people in the world could gather, it would be the library. I've seen soooo many different people.... Buisness people, the UPS man, goth-looking people, dudes with mohawks, you name 'em, I'm likely to have seen them!
Most people are drawn in by the books and shelves filled with knowledge that await within the doors, while others are more attracted by the-free-to-use high-speed wireless internet.
There's some people who are stranger than others... Like there's this lady who's there every week pretty much who goes to the kid's section and sits a the little miniature tables and seems to think she's having a conversation with a friend when nobody's there. 'Tis odd, really. Then there was another kid who brought a book of dark magic to tell about at a library activity...he was nice, but very, very strange!
I think my favorite people there though would without question be my fellow volunteers & the librarians. Especially the children's librarian, Mary. She's the head over the volunteers and is one of my most favorite people at the library. She's rather disorganized, but very creative and a ton of fun! Not to mention she has some pretty awesome parties for the volunteers :-D

One day, when Anna invents her teleporter, you should come meet me there ;-)
